Things to do in London on a Sunday

If you’re visiting London over the weekend, and you’re worried about entertaining yourself on a Sunday - Don’t panic! In London there is always something to do and see, and you won’t struggle to find things to do in London on a Sunday.
But, if you need some inspiration, here are some great things to do in London on a Sunday we think you’ll love.

St Paul's Cathedral

St Paul's Cathedral is an iconic place of worship, and definitely one of the most pleasant things to do in London on Sunday. Anyone is welcome to attend the services for free. An impressive building with beautiful tiled floors and decorative masonry, it's an ideal place to visit for anyone who likes architecture, history or religious services.

Take a River Cruise

What better way to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon than cruising along The RIver Thames, watching the world go by? City Cruises offer tours leaving from all of the main piers in central London, and they even have cafes onboard - so you can enjoy a nice cup of tea as you soak in the sights.

Take a Walking Tour

See a different side of London with the Little Venice to Camden circular walking tour. Enjoy the countryside in the city, look for wildlife, see beautiful narrowboats and spectacular architecture. This is a quieter side of the city, and a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Try an English 'Sunday Lunch'

One of the obvious things to do on Sunday in London is to eat out. If you didn’t know, here in the UK we have a tradition called ‘Sunday Lunch’ - and most pubs in the city will offer their own version of this to try. Around midday, we recommend hunting down your nearest pub, and trying a ‘Sunday Lunch’ for yourself!

Stroll around Richmond Park

Richmond Park is one of the Royal Parks and a National Nature Reserve. It is home to over 600 red and fallow deer. It also contains the Isabella Plantation, a spectacular garden, and King Henry's Mound which provides an amazing view of the city. This is an ideal place to visit for those who love wildlife, gardens, or just a little bit of peace in a bustling city

Discover a secret garden

St Dunstan-in-the-East is the Grade II Listed ruins of a Gothic church just a short walk from The Tower of London. The attraction is not the church but the secret little garden. It's open all year round, and is perfect for those who love nature and photography.
