ICE SKATING AT THE LONDON EYE - 20 NOVEMBER 2010 TO 5 JANUARY 2011

For the first time ever, customers will have the opportunity to don their best winter attire and take to the London Eye’s very own open air ice skating rink. Offering the unique opportunity to celebrate the festive season taking in the best views of London – both from the London Eye with a warm cup of mulled wine and from the Southbank’s first ice rink, looking up at the global icon – it’s sure to be the must-do winter activity this year.

From today, pre-bookings for this year’s unmissable festive experience will open to London Eye guests, with tickets available from their website (www.londoneye.com).

Whether you’re an ice skating extraordinaire or a complete novice, there is no better way to celebrate the Christmas cheer with friends and family this winter. Ice skating will be available daily from the 20th November until the 5th January between 10am and 9pm on the London Eye’s landscape and all tickets include the London Eye’s spectacular 4D experience.

This winter, skating is the perfect addition to one of the many Christmas flights on offer at the London Eye to guarantee a memorable experience to mark the holidays. After gliding on the ice, customers can warm up on a Mulled Wine flight – the perfect treat to enjoy with friends whilst experiencing the magic of London at Christmas. If you’re looking to add sparkle to your Christmas celebrations, guests can choose a Champagne Flight where they can sip Pommery Champagne whilst taking in London’s breathtaking views.

For a more romantic experience over the holidays, the London Eye Mistletoe Cupid’s Capsule is the ideal package to share with that special someone. Couples can relish in the panoramic views of London whilst enjoying Pommery Champagne and Charbonnel et Walker pink Champagne truffles in the luxury of a Private Capsule. A complimentary hand-tied spray of Christmas mistletoe for each couple adds a final touch of romance.

All London Eye Christmas experiences can be purchased online at www.londoneye.com and will receive a 10% discount when bought online.

Sightseeing cruises to and from the London Eye can be purchased on-line here.

Happy cruising and happy Eye-skating!
