LONDON'S No1 SAIL WITH SANTA ON THE THAMES

Meet Santa on the river Thames as he’s swapped his sleigh for a boat. Fun for everyone with lots of treats from Santa.

Santa’s going on the river – yo, ho, ho – and you can go with him. Children will enjoy Santa fun and a present for each and every one, along with a soft drink and a cookie; while adults can console themselves for growing up with a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.

Should you feel like drinking chocolate or champagne, rest assured, there is a café-bar to hand. Everyone will have fun, as it’s a great experience for both children and adults (and even teenagers, we are told).

Your ticket includes:

  • One hour cruise from/to Tower Pier

  • Glass of mulled wine/ hot drink and mince pie for adults*

  • Soft drink and small festive cookie for children*

  • Gift from Santa for each child and infant

  • Licensed cash bar available

THE CRUISE WAS A LOVELY TRIP FOR BOTH CHILDREN & ADULTS.

    06 Jan 2018

    ★★

We went last year to the Cruise with Santa - and it was wonderful - So this year we were very excited - but how disappointing - Last year there was a Rudolf dressed up and all the crew were in great Elf costumes and it was so festive - but this year the crew were only wearing Christmas tee shirts and weren't at all interacting with the children (apart from one young lady) - They seemed to think that all they had to do was put on loud Christmas music and that was enough - but it isn't - Also last year the Santa came to each table - this year he came on read his story and spoke to kids gave present and was gone! I will not be making the trip again as I am sure if it is that bad this year it will only go further down hill.

Poor boarding method. Not very magical at Christmas watching the 'elves' sleep on the desks. Not much pretext of Christmas spirit from staff. The announcer was the only person on board who couldn't speak English. Santa was unconvincing and uncommitted. Insufficient drinks and snacks prepared, as if they didn't realise guests would be coming. Gifts were very cheap. Very expensive too.

We had another lovely experience visiting Santa on the Thames. Just two comments:- It was far too hot on the boat Rather disappointed with the gift for a four year old girl - a mouth organ!

It wasn't as good as last year. Last year the children all Sat round Santa while he called up names and that was nice for the parents. This year getting called up by table meant more parent entertainment required and it felt more commercial with the photographer there. It was good but don't think we'll do it again.

I was just as entertained as my daughter. I loved it. While we were waiting to get on the boat Rudolph was mingling with the children. On the boat, once we were all settled with drinks and biscuits and mince pies, Santa arrived! He read the children a story and then everyone went back to their seats to enjoy the scenery of the cruise and have individual time to chat to Santa and get a little gift and photo. It was amazing! Will definitely do it again.

For the children it was a nice experience but for the adults we could see poor organisation from the staff on board

The whole experience was brilliant. From when we arrived on the pier and the children got their name stickers to when we disembarked after the Sail, I cannot fault the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful and Santa was just the loveliest, taking the time to speak to the children individually with no rush. The boat looked beautiful - all cosy and festive. The children were happy colouring with their juices and Gingerbread Men while waiting to see Santa. While the gifts could have been more expensive and higher standard considering the cruise prices, the children were perfectly happy with them. A wonderful family experience and I throughly recommend. Well Done to all involved at City Cruises!

Value for money for the time that you receive. Much better value than paying the same or more to do some of the other visits to Santa that are available.

Just a bit more organisations with the parents, as parents can be very pushy at times and there is no need for this. However personal touches from one member of the crew and Santa was amazing and made it all worth while!!!

We had the best time from start to finish on the Santa Cruise. My children loved the experience and of course my wife and I with the free mulled wine and mince pies. The front of the boat was transformed into Santa’s front room and when he appeared he looked the real deal. It was so nice that the experience was never rushed and kids particularly loved the storey and the one to one chat with Santa. The children wrote their present lists out and posted them in the mail box. Will definitely recommend to family and friends and for sure will be doing it again!
